Top 3  herbal supplements Often Found in Natural Hair Loss Products

1. Saw Palmetto

If you are looking for the major ingredient in 90% of the natural hair loss treatments out there then go for Saw Palmetto.

Saw Palmetto has become well known as a “hair loss herbal supplement” because it is known to enhance prostate health by reducing DHT. Prostatic disease is associated with hair loss in various ways, so many herbalist have started to market Saw Palmetto as an herbal remedy for hair loss.

Propecia (Finasteride) was also sold formerly as a prostatic treatment. It became a “hair loss treatment” after patients started experiencing changes in hair growth.

Like Propecia, Saw Palmetto will enable you reduce the amount of DHT produced in the body. However, it’s not certain whether or not it will be as effective as Propecia.

You should also know that Saw Palmetto has no side effects and does not interact with other drugs. Pregnant women should stay away from Saw Palmetto because it could harm their unborn babies. It might not be beneficial to women in any way in terms of hair growth.

In a few cases the use of Saw Palmetto has resulted in hemorrhages, difficulty in urinating, swelling of the prostate, and blood in the urine.

2. Nettle Root

Nettle Root is another herbal supplement that’s often applied in natural hair loss treatments. It enables blockage of 5-Alpha-Reductase which causes the conversion of testosterone to DHT.

This herbal supplement is often named as one of the top tier “natural hair loss treatments”. Some herbalists consider Nettle a more effective DHT blocker than Saw Palmetto.

Most of the time natural hair loss treatments don’t contain any nettle root at all. Nettle root is not sufficient in the ones that have it.

However, just as saw palmetto, nettle root interacts negatively with prescription drugs. Be careful if you are taking blood pressure medication, diabetes medicine or sedatives.

Unlike Saw Palmetto, it can also be used by women with hair loss.

3. Dong Quai

Dong Quai is another DHT blocker. It contains phytoestrogens which block androgen-receptor sites that enable the conversion of testosterone to DHT.

Because it works to block DHT, many people consider it capable of helping to forestall hair loss.

Women can also use Dong Quai. If you take Dong Quai together with Nettle Root then you may have a regimen that’s more effective than most herbal remedies for hair loss on the market.

If you put all three together you will have the “best possible herbal hair loss remedy regimen” which is much less costly.
